Keli Roberts is the recipient of the 2003 IDEA International Fitness Instructor of the Year award and an American Council on Exercise Continuing Education Specialist. Known world wide for her award winning videos, books and training seminars, she specializes in strength and stability training, group exercise, personal training and motivation. Keli holds certifications from ACSM HFI, AFAA, ACE Group Fitness and ACE Gold Personal Trainer. Keli is also a BOSU Developmental Team Member, a member of the Nautilus Institute Advisory Board and presenter for the Schwinn Cycling program. Keli is a 2007 inductee into the National Fitness Hall of Fame. She teaches classes and is a tier-three personal trainer at Equinox in Pasadena, California.

A.S.A.P. Abdominals, Spine And Posture!

A functionally strong core is the key to injury prevention and improved posture and alignment. This workshop focuses on specific exercises and drills that develop functional total body strength and isometric core stability. Dynamic and static balance challenges with upper and lower body drills and spinal extension work are integrated into a flowing program design for a whole new stability ball experience. The progressive exercise selection incorporates the BOSU® Ballast Ball™ to provide resistance and an unstable surface. These techniques are adaptable for Group Exercise or Personal Training.

Medicine Ball Rx: Plyometric Progressions

The Medicine Drills and Skills Program incorporates progressive core, upper body and lower body biased physical execution techniques, plyometric progressions and exercise guidelines. Defining Gliding Super Circuit

Define your body with this highly effective, super intense workout! Using dumbbells, Gliding Discs and a step you will do super-circuits that work on strength, endurance, balance, core control and power. Each super-circuit involves a lower body exercise, an upper body exercise, a power drill and an active recovery Gliding drill. Repeat the whole circuit twice to build intensity and enhance the training effect, or for a time efficient 30 minute workouts, do just one set. The workout finishes with core work and a relaxing cool down stretch.

F.I.T. Athletic Conditioning

Functional Integrated Training and Athletic Conditioning combines explosive movement with strength, agility, balance and quickness drills. This workout develops integrated strength, core power and stabilization and flexibility using a medicine ball, dumbbells and a foam roller. The workout starts with an athletic warm up that concentrates on active and dynamic stretching to heat the body up and prepare the muscles and joints. Next you’ll work on quickness with a series of drills that will stimulate the nervous system and improve foot speed. The conditioning phase utilizes a tri-set approach: a medicine ball drill, a dumbbell exercise and a power or plyometric drill. You’ll finish your workout using the foam roller for abdominal stabilization exercises followed by myofacial release techniques designed to enhance flexibility and relaxation.

Lower Body Program Design for Improved Athletic Ability

Based on Keli’s book, Stronger Legs and Lower Body, this interactive, hands-on workshop examines an eight-week progressive training paradigm for improving athletic ability. Learn the difference between athletic conditioning and sports specific training. Instructors will learn exercises and drills that will develop functional strength, agility, coordination and balance, as well as program recommendations for progression. Keli will demonstrate how to create a new approach to programming for the legs and lower body.
